INFO ABOUT THE PEARL SPONSORSHIP

 

The sponsorship fee is a crucial part of our pageant's structure. By securing this funding, you'll be able to access resources, mentorship, and support that will help you grow as a leader and amplify your social impact.

 

The funds will be used to cover costs associated with your participation in the pageant, such as training, coaching, and promotional activities. This investment will not only enhance your experience but also empower you to make a meaningful difference in your community.

 

The sponsorship is an opportunity for the contestants to demonstrate their commitment, resourcefulness, and ability to build partnerships, which are essential skills for leaders.

 

Specifically how the funds will be utilized :-

 

  • Mentorship programs

  • Leadership training

  • Community engagement initiatives

  • Personal branding & marketing

  • Pageant related expenses (e.g., rehearsals, coaching e.t.c).

SEMI-FINALISTS REQUIREMENTS

  • Must secure a Pearl sponsorship of R10 000 (made up of up to 2 sponsors) towards their journey.
  • Must secure the pearl sponsorship in order to proceed to the next round.
  • Will receive a sponsorship proposal to use in their quest for sponsors.
  • Must raise R500 for the official chosen charity for the year.
  • Must avail themselves for the semi-finalist workshop.
  • Must promote the Prime Matrix SA sponsors/Partners.
  • Are required to sell at least 5 minimum tickets for Prime Matrix SA events.
  • Must be available for Prime Matrix SA events and semi-finalists judging.
  • Must work in a positive and professional manner, adhering to the organization's guidelines.​​​​​

PRIZES & TITLE HOLDER RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The Title Holder will receive R35,000 prize, + sponsored rewards, and the Runner Up will receive R15,000 + sponsored rewards. Please note: There will be no second runner up. Only a Title Holder and Runner Up will be awarded per category.

 

Leadership Appointment & Brand Representation

In addition to the prizes, all Title Holders will officially serve as Brand Ambassadors for Prime Matrix South Africa and Next Generation Business Connect (NGBC) for the duration of their reign.

 

This role extends beyond the crown and includes:

  • Representing the values and vision of PMSA and NGBC at all official events and platforms

  • Actively participating in leadership development initiatives, media engagements, and public appearancesLeading and supporting community impact initiatives, including aligned charity partnerships

  • Maintaining a strong personal brand presence that reflects professionalism, influence, and purpose

  • Using their voice and platform to advocate for social impact, empowerment, and leadership development

Leadership Legacy

Title Holders are expected to embody the principles of the programme by demonstrating:

  • Leadership and accountability

  • Consistency and professionalism

  • Community involvement and measurable impact

  • Growth in personal branding and public influence

This is not only a title, but a leadership position within a national development platform.

 

Special Awards

Additional Special Awards will be presented to recognize excellence in key areas aligned with the programme, including leadership, personal branding, community impact, and overall growth throughout the journey.

 

Being crowned is not the end, it is the beginning of a year of leadership, representation, and impact under Next Generation Business Connect.

HOW ARE WINNERS SELECTED

 

The selection of winners is based on a comprehensive evaluation process that reflects both pageantry excellence and the leadership development framework of NGBC.

 

Participants are assessed on their overall growth, performance, and ability to demonstrate leadership, personal branding, and impact throughout the programme.

 

1. Preliminary Evaluation

Contestants are assessed throughout their journey based on the following components:

 

  • Sponsorship & Fundraising Efforts : Demonstrating initiative, influence, and ability to mobilise support

  • Charity & Community Impact : Active participation in social impact initiatives aligned with programme values

  • Ticket Sales & Engagement : Reflecting networking ability, marketing skills, and personal brand reach

  • Presentation & Interview : Assessing confidence, articulation, professionalism, and leadership presence

  • Public Voting : Measuring public appeal and audience connection

This phase aligns with NGBC’s focus on entrepreneurship exposure, personal branding, and real-world engagement.

2. On-Stage Competition

 

Finalists will be evaluated during the crowning event based on:

 

  • Smart-Casual Wear : Reflecting personal style, confidence, and brand identity

  • Evening Gown : Demonstrating elegance, poise, and stage presence

  • Q&A Segment : Assessing critical thinking, communication skills, and leadership mindset

This phase highlights public speaking, confidence, and overall presentation, key pillars of the NGBC programme.

 

3. Leadership & Programme Alignment

 

In addition to performance based scoring, judges will consider:

 

  • Consistency and growth throughout the programme

  • Commitment to leadership development and NGBC values

  • Ability to represent the brand with professionalism and purpose

  • Impact created within community initiatives

This ensures that winners are not only strong on stage, but also capable leaders and ambassadors.
